Luca Zardini frees Lo Schiaffo 8c
On 13 September Luca Zardini freed Lo Schiaffo 8c, Becco d'Ajal, Dolomites
| On Saturday 13 September Luca Zardini freed what is probably the hardest route in the Cortina basin, Lo Schiaffo 8c. The intense route, with monodoigt undercling crux and slap to a sloper, is located at Becco d'Ajal, one of Zardini's home crags. Zardini made the most of the abnormally dry summer and the sudden drop in temperature that has, inevitably, signalled the start of autumn.
