Just Rocking

JUST ROCKING

Images superimposed on the road through the lens confuse what I experience with what I imagine the music blaring on the motorway a group of old and new friends leave the before behind at the pier.

The tower can only just be made out in the morning darkness and I’m in the right place while it becomes blue orange pink on the sea cliff enraptured I examine the signs on the rock that tell me I’m always a climber.

On the hill climbing what we want up granite balls fiery in the fiery Mediterranean light I get lost within a problem another traverse one two beers in the woods another boulder until it becomes red orange blue

Mauro’s here for years without maps numbers surprised we now celebrate together at the Tower

We leave with crash pads and everything in the bag not knowing where in the windless sun the sun takes us to the stack because it’s there leaving it as it was on the summit signs of others lost here before in front of another island of rocks… Just Rocking
