Climbing under the radar as usual, America’s Isabelle Faus continues to impress with her inordinate power and relentless drive. Yesterday the 25-year-old from from Boulder, Colorado, made her way to Elkland in the Rocky Mountain National Park where she came up trumps on her project, Memory is Parallax. This 8B+ was freed by Dave Graham on the last day of 2011 and is now Faus’ third 8B+, after nearby The Wheel of Chaos in 2016 and Amandla at Rocklands, South Africa, in 2015.

Writing on 8a.nu, Faus stated "my proudest ascent, beautiful boulder with a great line. Wasn’t really sure if it would actually go down but so psyched !! The day before I felt super shitty... didn’t really have any expectation but to just stay in tune with it... then I found some fresh beta and took it down."
