Gabriele Moroni repeats Classified in the Frankenjura
Today in Germany's Frankenjura Gabriele Moroni from Italy repeated Classified 9a/a+ .
Gabriele Moroni competing at Arco
Gabriele Moroni celebrated a great day in the Frankenjura by repeating Classified, the climb at Holzgauer Wand freed at the end of April this year by Germany's Alexander Megos. There are no details as yet but this repeat marks another step forward in Moroni's climbing who had sent numerous 9a's, but never upped the ante to 9a/+. Until today.
Evidently the Frankenjura suits Moroni perfectly and in 2010 he achieved a personal goal by repeating one of the most famous sport climbs in the world, Action Direct 9a put up by the late Wolfgang Güllich. In the meantime Moroni hasn't missed the chance to travel north to those boulders strewn around Nürnberg from where, today, he managed to say "Classified is done!!! Can't believe it!!... Onto the next!.."
