Just two weeks after Caldwell's astounding repeat of the Nose, the 27 year old American has pushed things further by phenomenally climbing both the Nose and Freerider in under 24 hours!

According to Chris McNamara, Caldwell set off on October 30 at 01.03 am with his wife Beth Rodden and climbed the Nose in just 11 hours. Caldwell fell twice on the Changing Corners crux before redpointing the pitch and continuing to the summit. He then raced and abseiled down to the base of El Capitan, and at 13.36 set off up Freerider together with Chris McNamara. Cadwell fell only twice on pitch 28 (5.12b) but managed once again to hold things together to top out 23 hours and 23 minutes after commencing his epic 2000 meter, 65 pitch vertical marathon. Two big walls, free, in under 24 hours! A new standard has been set!
