Brooke Raboutou is the prodigious daughter of two sport climbing champions, France’s Didier Raboutou and America’s Robyn Erbesfield. While Didier was one of the leading lights in the early days of sport climbing in the ‘80s, Erbesfield dominated competitions in the ’90’s winning the Lead World Cup in 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995 as well as the Rock Master in 1994, before being crowned World Champion in 1995.

Brooke - just like her elder brother Shawn for that matter - has taken up the baton and so far has redpointed an 8c sport climb aged 11 (the youngest climber in the world to achieve this feat) and sent 8B boulder, as well as garnering an enviable competition record.

This fascinating two-part film follows the young champion from her upbringing to the Hachiōji World Championships in Japan, where the 18-year-old athlete managed to qualify for Tokyo 2020, the first Olympic Games in which sport climbing will take part.
