Alippi and Sturman make 8c tremble
Alippi and Sturman redpoint Invidia, Positron and Tolk is chep, all 8c
Two climbers from opposing ends of Italy, Stefano Alippi in the west and Dino Sturman in the east, have made best use of the excellent conditions to send some of the hardest routes around. Stefano Alippi redpointed 'Invidia' at Donnaz and the highly technical 'Positron' at Cornalba, both graded 8c. The latter is particularly significant as this is just the 4th ascent in over ten years. Dino Sturman on the other hand sent 'Tolk is chep' at Misja pec, the famous Slovenian crag just across the border with Italy. This 60° overhanging ramp, condensed into an 8m boulder problem, requires lots and lots of power. After his successful ascent Sturman also sent Marioneta, 8b+.
