Last Tuesday Alex Honnold was a guest of the The North Face Speaker Series at Boulder, Colorado to talk about the relativity of risk but also the rewards and joys that he gets from his climbing. Known above all for his audacious free solos – such as Regular NW Face on Half Dome in 2008, The Yosemite Triple in 2012 and El Sendero Luminoso in January this year to name just three – Honnold is widely recognised as one of the foremost free soloers of our times.

This lighthearted conversation, together with Nick Rosen and Peter Mortimer of Sender Films and Big Up Productions and moderated by Grayson Schaeffer of Outside Magazine, touches on the decisions Honnold made that got him where his is today and his future projects.
