| The American Alpinist Magazine announced today that it has received Print Magazines 2004 Regional Design Award for the cover of Alpinist 6, which beat more than 20,000 entries from across the country. The award, presented for Issue 6, was designed by Niki Celine and features a climber on a spectacular snow ridge on Mount Hunter in Alaska. Alpinist Magazine is now newcomer to accolades: in 2004 it received a string of awards, and was recently described by Reinhold Messner as being "the best climbing magazine in the world today." The magazine is available online too, and of particular interest is the section Climbing Notes and its worldwide new routes database. Congratulations to the entire staff!
