Tower Ridge on Ben Nevis is one of the most famous ridge lines in the United Kingdom. Plummeting 1.5 km down the north side of Scotland's highest mountain, the ridge is a coveted ascent all year round and in this film shot by Dave MacLeod staring Michael Tweedley, it's easy to see why.

MacLeod made the film to help draw attention to the great work of the Nevis Landscape Partnership and Friends of Nevis in building and maintaining the paths in the Nevis area. Although the absolute classic Tower Ridge is graded Moderate in summer and Scottish III,3 in winter, it should never be underestimated.

MacLeod explains "Novice parties usually rope up or are guided in summer, but for confident climbers it’s a fantastic scramble/easy rock climb to solo. In winter it is important to move quickly and slow or inexperienced parties are frequently benighted on the Great Tower." This feature can be seen clearly at 1:36.
