James McHaffie and Pete Robins have repeated Coeur de Lion E8 7a in Twll Mawr, Llanberis, Wales. This is only second ascent of the route that was put up by Johnny Dawes in 1987.

British climber Neil Dyer has added two important new sport climbs to North Wales limestone, namely megalopa F8c+ at Lower Pen Trwyn on the Great Orme and The Brute 8b at the Diamond on the nearby Little Orme.
