Briancon, France is currently hosting the third stage of the Lead World Cup 2017. The finals take place this evening at 19:30 and will be transmitted in live streaming.

Swiss Christian Maurer is getting close to the finish line of his fifth consecutive Red Bull X-Alps 2017 victory.

The first stage of the Lead World Cup 2017 was won on Saturday 8 July by Janja Garnbret and Romain Desgranges. The third stage of the Speed World Cup was won the previous evening by Anouck Jaubert and Reza Alipourshenazandifar.

Day 10 held no great surprises in store but proved difficult for all athletes. While many reached the Matterhorn, Christian Maurer is now 120km from the finish line, ahead of Benoit Outters and Paul Guschlbauer.

European Climbing Championships Campitello di Fassa: Romain Desgranges (Fra) and Anak Verhoeven (Bel) are the new European Lead Champions. Adam Ondra (Cze) and Mina Markovic (Slo) win silver, Jakob Schubert (Aut) and Jessica Pilz (Aut) win bronze. Italy’s Laura Rogora places 6th, Marcello Bombardi 7th.
