Ice World Cup 2000
Born in 1998 and consolidated in 1999, the Ice World Cup 2000 will take place from January to March 2000 and be held in 7 different venues.
Born in 1998 and consolidated in 1999, the Ice World Cup 2000 will take place from January to March 2000 and be held in 7 different venues.
The World Cup season will start off on the twin towers in Pitztal, Austria and then move on to the classic meeting in Courchevel, France and the Boulder contest in Cortina, Italy (see last year's report). February sees the competition in Saas Fee, Switzerland and another Boulder contest in Chamonix. In March the circuit moves north to Kirov, before the final stage and prize giving ceremony in Are, Sweden.
National teams from France, Russia and Great Britain will compete against individual athletes and the Grivel Competition Team on artificial icefalls designed to test their strength, stamina and technique.
