A New Route in the Peruvian Andes: 'Kolibri' on Jirishanca – HDry Supporting the Team

The new route, named “Kolibri,” stretches 1030 meters along one of the most vertical and captivating walls of the Andes, featuring 31 pitches that alternate between technical climbing on compact limestone and pure alpine sections. The difficulty reaches 8th grade and A2, in a remote and harsh environment where nothing can be left to chance.
Pride and Spirit of Adventure
We are extremely proud to support an athlete like Dani Arnold, who once again has shown vision, strength, and humility in one of the year’s most significant mountaineering achievements. “Kolibri” is not just a new line, but a symbol of elegance, determination, and teamwork in an extreme environment.
HDry by the Climbers’ Side
During this ascent, HDry protected the three climbers from the elements and the most critical moments of the climb. The high-altitude weather is severe: cold, wind, humidity, harsh conditions, and nights on the wall put equipment to the test.HDry’s waterproof and breathable technology made the difference, ensuring protection, comfort, and reliability in any weather conditions.

HDry was born in 2018 from the founders of OutDry, taking up the same innovative philosophy and continuing its technological development.
The HDry construction, thanks to the patented direct 3D lamination process, moves the waterproof barrier to the outermost layer to prevent any water ingress and penetration.
No water penetration also means greater lightness and more breathability, important advantages in intensive outdoor or mountaineering use.
