No peace for the wicked. After stages in Milan, Log-Dragomer, Vienna, Canmore, Vail and Eindhoven, the circuit kicks off in Spain tomorrow morning and is obviously a fundamental test before the penultimate stage in Sheffield next weekened and, importantly, the World Championship in 20 days time.

After slipping up at home in Vienna and failing even to qualify for the Semifinal, Fischhuber currently leads the World Cup Ranking 2011 with 409 points and he has already set a new personal record, winning three events in the same season. Closest rival Dmitry Sharafutdinov trails with 366 points, while Guillaume Glairon Mondet has 299.

In the women's event Anna Stöhr leads comfortably with 540 points despite Akiyo Noguchi's recent victory in Holland which has brought her tally to 429, while Alex Puccio trails with 353.

The IFSC Boulder World Cup in Barcelona will be webcast live on ifsc.tv.
