Over 400 climbers gathered in Bishop, California at the start of December in a highly successful three-day event designed to raise funds for the American Access Fund. Climbers were awarded points for each problem climbed, and these were subsequently converted into US dollars. Some of the best boulderers in the world turned up to the event, including the likes of Chris Sharma, Pedro Pons, Mauro Calibani and Tony Lamiche. Despite the intense cold some of Buttermilks hardest problems were sent, notably Sharmas mythical Mandala V12 (Fb8a+), which saw an impressive seven ascents. Even more impressive though was Tony Lamiches effort he succeeded in the first-ever flash, before adding a harder sit-down start, graded V13 (Fb8b). The event, a stage of the Petzl Roc Trip World Tour, raised almost $8000 for the American Access Fund. Published below is the list of top ranked climbers and their equivalent Dollar earnings.
