Zaila Rakhmetov, encouraging news

As you are well aware, the five-year-old daughter of Salavat and Guzel Rakhmetov was involved in a terrible accident a few weeks ago. The news spead via numerous different websites and over the last few days many have responded to Salavat's appeal for help. This is a fantastic! It's also for this reason that we're extremely happy to be able to provide you with the latest news about Zaila. The signs are small but encouraging and we're certain that they'll provide hope to all those who have been close to her parents Salavat and Guzel Rakhmetov.

The young girl remained in coma until 1 June, when she opened her eyes for the first time. Russian journalist Anna Piunova shares the great news: "the first time she opened her eyes on 1 June for 10 minutes, then she fell asleep again. Yesterday she was operated on her leg and although she was much worse in the evening, unconscious and with a fever, today she is much better. She opens and closes her eyes if the parents ask her to and she has also tried to smile. And...she's no longer in intensive therapy!"
