In early September 2015 Paige Claassen repeated Sarchasm, a 5.14a granite arête first climbed by Tommy Caldwell above Chasm Lake in the Rocky Mountain National Park. What gives this route the extra spice, beyond the obvious beauty and technical difficulties, is that it is located at circa 3500m… physical preparation is paramount, but as the American climber noted prior to her successful redpoint, mental training is often just as important.
