Nalle Hukkataival climbs difficult new Grampians boulders
In the Grampians, Australia, Nalle Hukkataival has climbed a series of difficult new boulder problems including Road Sweet Home (V15).
A while ago Nalle Hukkataival described Australia's Grampians as one of his favorite climbing area in the world. Immaculate, bulletproof sandstone and interesting and unique features are the main reasons why he spent 2 months there in 2012 and now the Finn is back to see he can do more than simply scratch the surface of the area's potential. True to form hardly a day is going by without Hukkataival establishing a difficult new boulder problem and recent first ascents include Devil In The Detail (V12), Jackson Pollock (V11) and World Is Not Flat (V14), as well as Road Sweet Home (V15) .
Hukkataival had found and cleaned Road Sweet Home during his 2012 visit but at the time he couldn't do all the moves. Yesterday he managed the send just as daylight was fading. "Flawless orange sandstone and just enough features on the rock to make it feasible" is Hukkataival's description of what now checks in as one of the hardest problems in the Buandik sector.
