Melloblocco 2013: sparks of imagination during day 1

Today was the second day of "Imagine Melloblocco... and adapt and adjust." Shaking off today's rain was no simple task. But the spirit (and desire) to climb at Melloblocco always reigns supreme. Which meant that today climbers had to go one step further, delve deep into their imagination. There was Mello - Yoga. Mello - indoor at the climbing gym. And also that jumar competition invented by the Lombardy Mountain Guides up Sasso Remenno. A parallel race (which also happened to teach a thing or two) which many attempted with glee (see video).

On the competition boulders it's worth noting the performance by (larger than life) Colombian Christian Aristizabal Serna. Hot on his heels was tireless Enrico Baistrocchi: as some pointed out, the name of problem couldn't have been more fitting: Maschio Dominante, Alpha Male ;-). The third send was the icing on the cake for Marzio Nardi, the protagonist that eveing with his "Ghiaia": a true journey into the bouldering and climbing he experienced and thought about in depth and with great joy. Yulia Abramchuk capped the day with her send of Climb for life Woman.
