![]() During the Easter break Luca Zardini carried out the first repeat of Drumtime, the route first ascended by Riccardo “Sky” Scarian at Fonzaso (BL) at the end of March. The 40 move just off vertical slab climbs the first part of “Gladiatore” (8c+) and then continues up “Diabloluna” (8c). Zardini needed just 6 attempts to send the route via a new sequence of moves which avoids the difficult dyno used by Scarian. As a result Zardini suggests 8c+ instead of the original 9a, although he stresses the difficulty in grading new routes and the subjective nature of applying grades.
