In January we spoke about Tasmania, about the wild beauty of this remote island down under. Now we’re traveling back to this state located just off the tip of southern Australia to view it through the eyes of two exceptional climbers, Jorg Verhoeven and Katharina Saurwein. Last year the two spent part of their honeymoon repeating some of the island's classic rock climbs, such as Moai, Pole Dancer, Pole Axed, Second pillar of Hercules, The Candlestick and Albert's Tomb. And also Totem Pole, the magnificent pillar first ascended in 1968 by John Ewbank and Allan Keller that shot to fame in 1998 for Paul Pritchard’s dramatic accident and fight for survival. Narrated in his award winning "The Totem Pole and a Whole New Adventure", this story is highly recommended for all budding climbers and alpinists. Just like these sea stacks above the rough Tasman sea.
