Claudia Ghisolfi sends Trip tik tonik (9a) in the Gorges Du Loup

Italy's Claudia Ghisolfi has sent what many consider the best 9a in France, Trip tik tonik in the Gorges Du Loup. The 29-year-old started trying the route at the end of July and made rapid progress, but then climbing partner Giovanni Placci broke a hold, making the crux significantly harder.
"It's a route where the difficulty is concentrated in two sections. The first five bolts tire you out a bit, then you reach the crux" she explained, adding "Once you've passed the crux, you mustn't let anxiety take over and need to stay focused for about twenty meters of 8a+/b."
Ghisolfi returned last week and sent on Saturday, bringing her tally of 9a's to two after TCT at Gravere in 2022.
