An interesting and relatively unknown route on the right-hand side of the Lagazuoi’s North Face. The rock quality is fairly good, but a bit loose in the upper section.
Reach Passo Falzarego and then take the Funivia del Lagazuoi cable car to Rifugio Lagazuoi. Alternativly, follow path no. 402-401 on foot from Passo Falzarego (2117m) (2 hrs- 630m height difference).
AccessFrom Rifugio Lagazuoi, situated next to the cable car, walk down path no. 20 and then continue along scree slopes, without losing height, to the base of the wall. Walk up the scree to a series of corners and cracks on the left-hand side of the wall. Allow 20 minutes for the walk-in.
DescentWalk rightwards along the summit scree and then scramble along the exposed ridge to reach the Banca di Lagazuoi saddle. Continue down the steep gully to the path and on up to the Lagazuoi saddle and the cable car, alternatively walk down the piste from here to the car at Capanna Alpina.
GearThe route has some in-situ gear, take a set of nuts, friends and slings.
