Via del Buco - Piccolo Lagazuoi
Via del Buco on the lefthand side of Piccolo Lagazuoi is a pleasant climb in the sun on good-quality rock with plenty of fixed gear, suitable even at the start and end of the season. The upper section of the original route climbs up a series of very beautiful corners (max V+), though these are almost always wet; if necessary, it is possible to veer left onto easier ramps (max V°), though these are less interesting. A very popular outing; excellent descent on foot.
Drive to Passo Falzarego and park in the large car park by the Lagazuoi cable car, or a little further up in a small lay-by on the right-hand side of the road leading up to Passo Valparola.
AccessFollow a narrow path and then head directly across scree to the base of the face, clearly visible from the car park, aiming for its left-hand side where the route starts (approx. 25 mins)
Descent
The descent is on foot along an equipped path in the most exposed sections and featuring a beautiful wooden suspension bridge over the central gorge. Descend down the west face, to quick return to the base of the wall and the car park.
GearThe route contains in-situ gear, including cemented bolts at the belays and along the pitches (not all pitches, see topo); take a full climbing rack
