Route

Miss No is a difficult modern mixed climb established onsight April 2017 up the NE Face of La Vierge du Flambeau. Despite its easy access from the Torino hut, in the past this mountain strangely never attracted much attention.

Getting there

Reach Courmayeur in Italy and take the Skyway cable car for the Torino Refuge.

Access

From Rifugio Torino walk slightly downhill, down the track that leads towards Marbree then keep left, keeping circa a hundred meters to the left of Petit Flambeau, along the descent that is normally done on skis for la Noire!

Itinerary

P1: 40m M5 couloir with delicate start
P2: 25 m M6 mixed terrain
P3: 40m M8 difficult thin crack, hard to protect
P4: 30m M7 difficult corner with delicate exit
P5: 25m start up grade V on rock, then mixed terrain
P6: 40m easy mixed climbing facile

Descent

Follow the ridge that leads to the summit of Petit Flambeau, uphill (recommended) or traverse rightwards (large crevasses) to reach the track that from the Tacul “satellites” leads up Flambeau!
