Kindergarten - Col Bechei

Kindergarten is a modern route that requires skillful placing of trad gear, with bolts on only the most compact sections. All threads have been left in-situ, and the belays feature two 10mm bolts each (except the first, which has a bolt and a pge).
The route was established groun-up without the use of aid; all sections were climbed free between one piece of gear and the next. The rock quality is fantastic and extremely rough, and the panoramic setting is one of the most stunning in the Dolomites.
Reach the village of San Vigilio di Marebbe. From here, follow the road to the Pederü Hut and park here.
AccessFrom Rifugio Pederü, ascend to Rifugio Fanes, then continue toward Limo Pass (2,174m). Head toward the lake (where the wall becomes partially visible) and take the trail leading to Col Bechei's summit (up to this point, the approach can be comfortably done by e-bike in ~30 minutes via gravel road).
At the far end of the lake abandon the main trail and bear right onto a faint path ascending ~40m of elevation gain (see PDF sketch). Then descend ~80m through a gully, following the chamois track leftward beneath small cliffs. Continue gently uphill along cairns to a dead tree.
Scramble up steep grassy slopes to the base of the wall, then traverse rightwards to reach the distinctive large roof. The route begins 20-30m to the right of this (blue peg at the start, see photo). Approach time: circa 35min from the lake.

NotesIt is possibile to combine Kindergarten with some other great routes on the same day, such as the nearby Ey de net, La salvana, La Raieta, Spina de Mul, Bellobellissimo, The king of Fanes). Given its orientation, it's possible to climb here from early spring to late autumn.
