Nice and demanding climb, predominantly up cracks, to the left of Umbras. The route reaches the final belay of Umbras and ends here.
From Nuoro drive to Oliena, from Funtana Iscandula reach Preda ‘e Littu and then follow the path which leads to the classic route up the Punta Cusidore arete.
AccessFrom the start of the NW arete up Punta Cusidore, coast beneath the north face and start at the highest point. To the right there are some old bolts (attempt Piras-Scema 1996). Start to the left, on the highest point of the grassy scramble.
DescentAbseil down Umbras or 4 abseils down the route. Two 60m ropes are absolutely necessary!
GearIn-situ gear: three pegs along the pitches, pegs and threads for abseils at the belays. Take two sets of camming devices up to 3BD, one 4BD, nuts, kevlar threads, two 60m ropes.
NotesAll pitches, except for the 6th, were climbed on-sight during the first ascent.
