Via ferrata Rino Pisetta in Valle del Sarca, new start
A new start for the Via ferrata Rino Pisetta on Piccolo Dain in Valle del Sarca (Arco), Italy.
The impressive Piccolo Dain in Valle del Sarca, Arco, Italy
Spring is here and with it the first outings on vie ferrate. Not those at altitude obvioulsy as the snow still needs to melt, but on those lower down, such as the ones in the area around Arco on Lake Garda in Northern Italy.
One of the most famous in the Valle del Sarca is Via Ferrata Rino Pisetta which climbs the symbol of the valley, the beautiful and imposing Piccolo Dain. Until a short while ago the start of this demanding ferrata was reached by parking close to a mechanic and the main road which leads from Trenot to Arco but now, since the path crossed private property, the local town council has created a new approach. This new start is located just a stone's throw from the old start, on the road which leads to Madonna di Campiglio and also has a small car park
