Jakob Schubert, terzo 9b con Stoking the Fire a Santa Linya

Inizia l’anno con il botto quello del 27enne climber austriaco Jakob Schubert che durante una visita invernale alla falesia di Santa Linya è venuto a capo di Stoking the Fire, il 9b liberato dal padrone di casa Chris Sharma nel 2013 e ripetuto nel 2016 da Adam Ondra.

Schubert si è aggiudicato la terza salita nonostante avesse rotto un appoggio qualche giorno prima rendendo la sezione chiave più difficile ancora.

Stoking the Fire è ora il terzo 9b di Schubert. Nel dicembre 2014 aveva salito Fight or Flight ad Oliana, mentre nel gennaio 2016 aveva ripetuto La planta de Shiva a Villanueva del Rosario.

'Stoking the Fire' Today was the day 3rd ascent after @chris_sharma and @adam.ondra , my third route in the 9b grade Once again I enjoyed to whole process of trying something hard a lot. It feels like I could have send this one much faster but this way I learned some more lessons again and an ascent always feels even better if it took a bit of a psychological battle as well Thanks to all my friends and the rest of the climbers that supported me so much during the past 10 days in Santa Linya!
