Anthony Gullsten libera Silver Lining, 8C boulder highball in Finlandia

Il finlandese Anthony Gullsten ha liberato un boulder difficilissimo - a altissimo - a Piilolampi, una zona boulder non lontana dalla sua casa di Gullsten a Helsinki. Il blocco è situato vicino al parcheggio e quindi sotto gli occhi di tutti, ed era un "famigerato progetto" da oltre 20 anni. Gullsten ha provato tutti i movimenti con la corda dall’alto prima di rischiare la libera. Il blocco ora si chiama Silver Lining ed è gradato 8C.

Per la cronaca, le restrizioni per via del coronavirus in Finlandia sono molto meno severe rispetto ad altri paesi europei e la salita di Gullsten di due settimane fa rispettava le restrizioni adottate contro l’emergenza Coronavirus.

These are some crazy times we're living.. I couldn't have imagined being in this situation a month ago. Thankfully here in Finland, we still have the opportunity to go outside. Enjoy the outdoors and the abundant forests that hide some excellent boulders! The perfect place for social distancing. I've been laid off for 2 weeks now, which means that I have quite a lot of free time in my hands.. The good thing is that the weather has been great, so I've been keeping myself busy by roaming the woods. The past couple weeks I've put all my focus and efforts into this one particular line. It's been a notorious project since the place was first discovered 20 years ago. Now the project has finally been put to rest and given a name. My proudest FA to date!
