Dolasilla is the first route on the west face of Lavarella that breaches the slabs clearly visible from Val Badia and finishes directly at the summit. It provides technical slab climbing and a beautiful traverse and is well worth repeating. In line with the local ethics, the route was first ascended on 14 September ground-up without the use of bolts. We left all pegs in-situ and, wherever possible, used trad gear. In addition to a full rack, take a set of Totem friends, ideally two of the medium and larger sizes.
Getting there
From La Ila drive towards San Cassiano and, half way between these two towns, turn off left and park at the hairpin bend close to the Rüdeferia hamlet. Itinerary
See the topo Descent
Follow the ridge towards the main summit to reach the marked path. Return down this to Forcella de Medesc.
