Edu Marin makes first ascent of Valhalla, 9a+ multi-pitch at Getu in China
In 2018 and 2019 Spanish rock climber Edu Marin created what can only be regarded as one of the hardest and most overhanging multi-pitch rock climbs in the world. Called Valhalla and graded 9a+, the 380m route first climbs up, then diagonally across, the huge Grand Arch at Getu in China and was first ascended with the help of Edu’s brother Álex and their father Francisco "Novato".
