Pescatori di sogni - Pizzo della Sella, Monte Gallo
A beautiful modern route which, after a first pitch significantly harder than the others, ascends a spectacular and wild corner.
After the first pitch, the route was climbed almost exclusively with trad gear. However, during the descent, some bolts were added to the pitches to make the overall bolting somewhat consistent, seeing that the first pitch was fully bolted from the outset as it was absolutely unprotectable otherwise.
From Palermo, head to Sferracavallo, the famous seaside area of the city. After finding a good parking spot for your car (they issue tickets in many places), walk the entire length of Via Barcarello, which is essentially the waterfront road. This will take you to the tip of Barcarello, which marks the end of the promenade and the beginning of the Capo Gallo Nature Reserve.
DescentThe seventh and eighth pitches can be combined. However, it is important to account for significant and potentially very serious rope drag, which is almost impossible to avoid due to the winding nature of this section of the route.
