Route

E la vita scorre! And life goes on! The route climbs the south face of Cima Uomo, to the left of the classic Spigolo dell’Om. Very comfortable belays, perfectly positioned, help you enjoy the surroundings, the route and the beautiful rock.

Getting there

From Tuenno take the road leading to Lake Tovel as far as the Capriolo Restaurant, near which a forest track branches off to the right; follow this until you reach the ‘No Entry’ sign. Just before this, there is a car park near the hairpin bend (9 km). NB: access to this dirt road is permitted only during the summer months when Malga Tuenna is open (roughly from early June to late September).

Access

Follow the CAI path for 10 minutes to Malga Tuena. Continue along path #310 into Val Madris towards Passo di Pra Castron. Climb up this path until you reach the base of the yellow rocks of the southern pillars of Cima Uomo. From here, skirt the face of Cima Uomo to the right towards the ‘Om’ arête. The route starts just before you reach the ridge, with a stuck cam and a sling at the base of the rocky ledges. (1:30 from the car).
