A straightforward, very pleasant route that, with its beautiful holds, provides splendid emotions.. The climb follows the compact, vertical gray slab with excellent holds all the way to the summit anchor of the Via delle Guide.

Getting there

Reach Cortina d'Ampezzo

Access

To reach the Cinque Torri, you can take the chairlift from Bai de Dones to the Rifugio Scoiattoli. Alternatively, from Cianzopé walk or take the shuttle service to Rifugio Cinque Torri.

Bai de Dones - Rifugio Scoiattoli
From Cortina, take the SS48 towards Passo Falzarego and reach the Bai de Dones area, where you will find the parking lot for the Cinque Torri chairlift. Take the 5 Torri chairlift up to the Rifugio Scoiattoli, and from there, it's a short few-minute walk to reach the Cinque Torri. Alternatively, from the parking lot, hike up on trail #425, which passes Lake Bain de Dones and ascends through the Landries forest to the Rifugio Cinque Torri (approx. 1.5 hours).

Cianzopé - Rifugio Cinque Torri
From Cortina, take the SS48 towards Passo Falzarego until you reach the Cianzopé area. At kilometer 112, the paved road Cianzopé - Rifugio Cinque Torri begins on the left. Please note: the road from Cianzopé to the Rifugio Cinque Torri is closed to vehicular traffic from Monday, June 16th to Sunday, September 21st. A shuttle service is available on-site at Cianzopé from August 1st to August 31st. For prices and information, please contact the following number: +39 347 5107048. Alternatively, from Cianzopé, follow the road on foot (trail #439) to reach the refuge in approximately one hour.

Itinerary

P1: 25m, 3 bolts, Grade IV
Starts from the "Via delle Guide" on the west face of the Torre Grande. Leave the "Via delle Guide" on your right and follow the bolts on the left side of the face. The route trends slightly left after the third bolt and reaches the belay station with a chain.

P2: 20m, 4 bolts, Grade IV
The second pitch trends slightly to the left until reaching the belay station with a chain.

P3: 20m, 4 bolts, Grade IV
After the first bolt, climb over a vertical bulge to reach the belay station with a chain.

P4: 30m, 3 bolts
The pitch follows a perfectly vertical line until it intersects with "Via Olga" (the third bolt meets the resin bolt of "Via Olga"). Once past "Via Olga," continue straight up to the belay station with a chain.

P5: 30m, 5 bolts, Grade IV
The fifth and final pitch is certainly the most beautiful on "Via Cerullova." It follows the compact, vertical gray slab on excellent holds all the way to the summit ring of the "Via delle Guide."

Descent

Abseil down Via delle Guide.
