Bio Rock - Piccolo Lagazuoi
Bio Rock on Piccolo Lagazuoi is very likely a small gem, with superb rock and its south-facing aspect. Established ground up over three cold days, the route is protected with bolts and numerous thread.
Drive to the Falzarego Pass and park in the large car park by the Lagazuoi cable car, or just above it in a small lay-by on the right-hand side of the road leading up to the Valparola Pass. Follow path no. 402 uphill for 300 metres, then continue westwards along the Kaiserjägersteig to around 2,350 metres. The start of the route is 5 metres to the left of the Valerio Giordani plaque, between two First World War tunnels. Allow around 45 minutes.
AccessFollow the narrow path and then head straight up the scree slope to the base of the face, which is clearly visible from the car park, heading for its left-hand side where the route starts.
