Cric rope clamp

CRIC is the multi-function rope clamp designed by CLIMBING TECHNOLOGY for mountaineering, rescue and rope access work. Durable, practical and intuitive to use, it offers four different modes of operation: ascender, pulley, rope clamp/pulley or progress-capture hauling pulley. Its versatility, compact design and ease of use help minimize time, material and room needed for rope manoeuvres.
When in ascender mode, it allows ascending the rope in accordance with EN 567 / EN 12841-B standards; when it is in pulley mode, it can be used as a simple pulley for lifting or transferring a load, as the rope is free to run in both directions. In progress-capture hauling pulley mode, it allows the direct lifting of a load, the creation of hauling systems and the rescue or self-rescue of a person, as in case of a fall in a crevasse, since the rope is free to run in one direction but is locked in the opposite one. In progress-capture hauling pulley mode it is also possible to lower the lifted load by acting on the dedicated cord connected to the cam within the device.
Thanks to the user-friendly opening via an intuitive release button, the device can be swiftly installed on the rope in any of its different modes of use, even with gloves on or while operating in difficult conditions. In addition, CRIC is equipped with a steel cam featuring teeth that minimize rope wear but are very effective in blocking the rope, when so needed. In addition, the cam is designed with two slots that reduce the build-up of dirt, to maintain the lock on the rope very efficient in any condition.
Caution! This product is not a fall arrester (EN 353-2 / EN 12841-A) nor can it be used for self-belaying while climbing.
