Jonathan Siegrist libera One Hundred Proof, nuovo 9a+ a Mount Potosi

Dopo Jumbo Love a Clark Mountain nel 2018, Jonathan Siegrist ha salito un’altra via durissima nelle vicinanze di Las Vegas. Questa volta il climber statunitense si è recato nella strapiombantissima grotta invernale di Mount Potosi dove ha liberato il 9a+ One Hundred Proof. Questa è la seconda via di questo grado liberata da Siegrist dopo All you can Eat l’anno scorso nella stessa grotta, nel video sotto.

Le vie di questo grado salito sono: Biographie a Ceuse ne 2014, La Rambla a Siurana, Papichulo e Power Inverter ad Oliana nel 2015, Pachamama, Joe Mama e Chaxi Raxi ad Oliana nel 2017, Bone Tomahawk e Jumbo Love a Clark Mountain nel 2018, All you can Eat e Planta de Shiva a Villanueva del Rosario nel 2019.

I’ve been inching my way higher and higher on this monstrous route over the last 2 weeks, but the process really started over a month ago trying hard on its easier sibling ‘Smoke Wagon’. Yesterday I finally hung on for the ride and took this bastard to the chains! ‘One Hundred Proof’ 15a is one of the hardest routes I’ve climbed in quite a while. Just as I started to really stress the time pressure, it feels SO relieving to wrap this up.
