Felsenkeller on Mt Somamunt in the Antersasc valley above Campill / Longiarü in Val Badia is an extremely beautiful mixed climb set in a wild and scenic ambient. This is the left-hand drip of 'Schorschs Weinfall' (Manuel Baumgartner, Simon Kehrer 2017), breached via two mixed pitches which lead to the third and final belay of 'Schorschs Weinfall'. From here Felsenkeller continues for 5 new pitches of M4/5 for 250m to the summit. All belays are equipped with in-situ gear.
Getting there
From Bruneck head towards Campill / Longiarü in Val Badia and continue along the road that leads to Joel. After a riding school park the car close to the bridge. Itinerary
L1: 30m, 2 pegs at the belay L2: 30m, 2 pegs at the belay L3: 50m, thread + 1 peg at the belay L4: 60m, sbelay on boulder L5: 50m, 2 pegs at the belay L6: 40m, 2 pegs at the belaya L7: 40m, belay on boulder + 1 peg Descent
Abseil down the climb. Gear
The first two pitches were protected with pegs, take a set of cams and small ice screws.
