After a year off in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, then the new formula in 2021 throughout the entire month of July, the Dolorock Climbing Festival is back in full force with its traditional weekend from 27 to 29 May 2022 in the picturesque Höhlensteintal, Dolomites, Italy.

The organisers, the local Gamatzn climbing club, have once again settled for the tried-and-tested formula used during the last 8 editions: arrival on Friday and open-air cinema at the Nordic Arena at Toblach, briefing opposite the emerald green waters of Lake Landro on on Saturday after the morning, followed by climbing all day at the numerous crags dotted across the valley. The rules of the Redpoint Fight are simple: each route gets a point, and the 5 most difficult routes climbed make up the final score in each category (pro, amateur (mean value), youth and 50+). The winners are announced in the evening at the Dolorock Party, while Sunday begins leisurely with breakfast until 11:00 at the Dolorock Area, followed by Yoga for Climbers and obviously a lot more climbing.

Registration will be possible either during the event of online on the official website and the first 200 participants will receive a legendary Dolorock T-shirt.

Two points worth considering: firstly. free camping is available at the campsite next to the Dolorock Area. Secondly, as the organisers state "Take care of your climbing partner, check the knot and have fun." As always!
