Last year ended in style for François Legrand, who on 22 December freed his project at Les Goudes, one of his favourite crags in Les Calanques, just outside Marseille.
The new route is called "Robi in the Sky" and takes the first part of “La Baume”, a short and steep 15m 8b to then continue independently for a further 30m, high into the sky! Overhanging 25m in all, the suggested grade weighs in at a mighty 8c+/9a.

Les Goudes
Les Goudes is one of the most particular crags in Les Calanques and offers many different types of climbing due to its rock formation.

Getting there:

From Marseille drive along the sea front to "Pointe Rouge" and on to "Madrague Montredon" (bus No. 19). Continue along this panoramic road until "Goudes" and, after having driven through the village center, head towards "Callelongue" where the road ends (bus No. 20 from "Madrague Montredon"). Park near the port at "Callelongue" and continue on foot past the first barrier up to the various sectors.
