Sachi Amma the boulderer. Known above all for his hard climbs with a rope - read recently redpointing the 9b Fight or Flight at Oliana and winning the Lead World Cup in both 2012 and 2013 - the Japanese climber has now decided to devote some time to bouldering outdoors.

The results, unsurprisingly, have come about quickly: Tokoyo V14/8B+ at Mt. Kasagi in Japan and now a flurry of difficult sends at the Buttermilks close to Bishop, USA. The hardest so far is Mandala sit down start, V14/8B+, almost immediately upon arrival. If he continues on at this rate, there'll certainly be far more to report soon.
