On 8 September American climber Jonathan Siegrist successfully made the first ascent of his Algorithm up "one of the biggest uninterrupted pieces of limestone I've seen in the States", namely the Discovery Wall in Idaho. The 40m route weighs in at 9a and is atypical of most other routes of this difficulty in that the line is only slightly overhanging, offering fierce technical climbing up the sheer face.

Siegrist celebrated his success with the first ascent of Enter the Dragon at the nearby Solstice Wall. While the lower section of this eye-catching route is protected by 4 bolts, the upper section follows a pristine crack right to the top which needs protectingwith natural pro. Siegrist commented "It's truly one of the most unique climbs I've ever done, and my hardest single pitch trad route at 5.14a/8b+."
