Roland Hemetzberger frees Bügeleisen at Kufstein in Austria

06.06.2012 by Planetmountain

The video of Roland Hemetzberger and the first ascent of Bügeleisen 8b+ close to Kufstein, Austria.

The line is beautiful and obvious, extremely obvious, and begs the question why no one had climbed it previously. The fact of the matter is that Bügeleisen -so-called becasue it resembles an iron - was recently freed by Roland Hemetzberger (the German climber who recently added new hard routes to Achleiten) and currently it's the only route at this crag close to Kufstein in Austria.
