Change country, switch continent, but it makes no difference: jakob Schubert is always first. For the seventh time running the Austrian won the Lead World Cup, this time in Jordan's Amman. While it is has to be said that there were few athletes - only 16 in the men's event and 14 in the women – it is clear that beating calibre athletes such as
Ramón Julian Puigblanque and Manuel Romain is never an easy task. And while Schubert displayed impressive superiority in the Semis, in the Final the difference between him and the rest whittled down to a mere hold.

In the women's event it was Slovenian powerhouse Mina Markovic who dictated the pressure, beating teammate Maja Vidmar (2nd), and Jain Kim from Korea and Momoka Oda from Japan, third equal. Victory came about by the smallest of margins: the same hold held tightly as opposed to simply touched. With this victory Markovic extends her lead in the provisional ranking and is now 90 points clear of closest rival Jain Kim.

The next stage of the Lead World Cup will take place in Valence in France on 28/29 October.
