Difficult multi-pitch sport climbs have become Edu Marin’s speciality, and on 2 October in his backyard mountains, Montserrat close to Barcelona, he pulled off the second free ascent of Tarragó. This 240 climb was established with the use of aid ground-up in 2002 by David Tarragó, Raúl Ballesteros, Dani Fernández, Xavier García and Toni Castelló, and freed at the end of November 2013 by Iker Pou and his brother Eneko.

Two days after his repeat Edu returned with his father, explaining "After freeing Tarragó, I thought that it would be best to join pitch 4 (8a) and pitch 5 (8b+), as the anchor was situated in the middle of a very difficult sequence. It was logical to me to rest after, not during that crux." The resulting 55m pitch pushes the grade to 8c, now called Tarragó Plus.
