Dai Koyamada on his boulder problem Shanbara 8C, Toyota, Japan
Bouldering seems to have reached the stars: after the recent frist ascent of Memory is Parallax by Dave Graham, his compatriot Daniel Woods has now addeed Mirror Reality 8B+ to the Rocky Mountain National Park.
A fortnight ago and on the other side of the Pacific Ocean, Dai Koyamada freed Shanbara close to Toyota in Japan. The problem adds a sitstart to his Agartha: four more moves which take the grade from 8B+ to 8C. Here's an old video of Agartha... at minute 10.00 Koyomada attempts the sitstart of what was to become Shanbara.
