After thrusting Cova de Ocell into the international spotlight in March 2015 with the first ascent of El bon combat 9b/+, Chris Sharma has now drawn attention back to this Barcelonian crag with the first ascent of an intensely steep boulder problem he has described as the "Catalan Witness the Fitness".

Although no grade has been put forward, according to the American the roof features an 8B/+ section that leads into an 8A+ finish, and while working the moves for the low start in September 2015 he stated "Super psyched on the simplicity and intensity of bouldering these days! Back to the basics, and this is gonna be one rad boulder problem!"

The original Witness the Fitness breaches an enormous sandstone roof in the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas, USA, and was established by Sharma in 2005. At V15 (8C) it was, along with Practice of the Wild at Magic Wood, one of Sharma's hardest ever boulder problems after having established classics such as Unendliche Geschichte at Magic Wood and The Mandala at the Buttermilks, Bishop, USA. Although during the last decade Sharma's main focus has been on hard sports climbing, evidently he has never lost his bouldering touch.
