Severino Scassa
Andonno seen through the eyes of Severino Scassa: “I practically started climbing in this place, I know everyone who climbs here, many have bolted climbs here over many years and you can still find historic routes, the first hard pitches in Italy, completely chipped ones, Verdoneque slabs, overhangs, multi-pitch routes, a bit of everything. In total there are around 200 climbs of all difficulties and all styles."
From Cuneo continue towards Borgo S.Dalmazzo. Once you reach the town, follow the road towards Valdieri, after a few kilometers the cliff springs into view on the right. Continue along the main road until you reach the Bar Miramonti located on the outskirts of Andonno, this is the climber's bar. It is possible to park in the village or continue to the end of the road where the path starts that leads to the base of the walls.
PeriodThe exposure of the cliff allows you to climb all year round. In summer you can slalom your way up the routes chasing the shade, while in winter it is best top come here on a sunny day.
